The Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) is located at 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC within 10 miles of Fort Bragg and Pope Army Air Base. In addition, Camp Lejeune Marine Base and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base lie in the facility’s catchment area. The Fayetteville VAMC is a general medicine, surgery and mental health facility. It is a Complexity Level 2 Medical Center authorized 58 general medical, surgical and mental health beds. The medical center also maintains a 69-bed long-term care Community Living Center (CLC) to care for Veteran residents. Our CLC serves as host to the North Carolina State Veterans home in Fayetteville, a 150-bed long-term nursing home facility located adjacent to the medical center. Fayetteville VAMC serves Veterans in 19 counties in southeastern North Carolina and 2 counties in northeastern South Carolina and is the largest catchment area within the VISN 6 Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Network.
Fayetteville VAMC operates Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Jacksonville, Hamlet, Robeson and Wilmington, NC serving more than 16,000 Veterans residing in those nearby counties. Our CBOCs provide Primary Care, Mental Health Care and offer Tele-health services for other specialties. The Brunswick County Outreach Center located in Supply, NC provides basic medical and tele-mental health care to Veterans in and around the area. Located off-site in Fayetteville, we opened the first Dialysis Center in the VA health system nationwide. This free-standing dialysis unit has the capacity to treat 64 dialysis patients and is co-located with the Compensation & Pension (C&P) program to provide Veterans access to C&P exams when filing for disability compensation. Another off-site facility in Fayetteville is our Village Green Annex providing primary care for more than 12,000 unique Veterans.
