Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a specialty referral facility, primarily serving veterans from southeastern Pennyslvania, Delaware and southern New Jersey.  The medical center provides primary care, mental health care, geriatrics and extended care, specialty and women’s health care, and pharmacy and social work services to both inpatients and outpatients.  Three non-profit organizations operate residential and transitional housing programs for veterans.  Community Based Outpatient Clinics, located in Springfield and Spring City offer mental health and primary care services.  The medical center's mission is to provide exceptional health care that improves veterans' health and well being.
  
Affiliations
 
During Fiscal Years 2006, 2007 and 2008, CVAMC provided and continues to provide a very active academic affiliations program with on-site internships and work experiences for 212 students, residents, interns/externs and trainees.  Students from 18 universities and medical schools are involved in nursing, LPN, nurse practitioner, psychology, podiatry, physician assistant, and social work programs.
