Co-located with the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center, the Sioux Falls Regional Office provides compensation and pension services to veterans. Additionally, a veteran service representative is stationed at the Hot Springs campus of VA Black Hills Health Care System and is responsible for field examination activities in the western part Of the state, conducting TAP briefings at Ellsworth AFB and providing benefit counseling.

Vocational rehabilitation and employment services are also provided at the Sioux Falls Regional Office. Three vocational rehabilitation counselors and one employment coordinator are outbased in Rapid City and provide vocational rehabilitation services. Vocational Rehabilitation is jointly managed for South and North Dakota from Fargo, ND.

A decisional review officer at the Sioux Falls Regional Office conducts personal hearings for South Dakota claimants.

Office of Regional Counsel - The Office of Regional Counsel is located in the Regional Office building and provides services for South Dakota's Regional office and three medical centers.

VA Medical Center - The VA Medical Cneter is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-art technology as well as education and research. Care is provided to eligible veterans in eastern South Dakota, northwestern Iowa and southwestern Minnesota.
