The St. Cloud VA Medical Center is located in central Minnesota on 200 acres of wooded grounds on the banks of the Sauk River. Community based outpatient clinics (CBOC) are located in Brainerd and Montevideo, Minnesota. Each year the medical center delivers care to over 30,000 unique patients in the Upper Midwest Region.

AFFILIATIONS

The medical center maintains an active, on-going medical education program accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association for continuing education credit. It focuses primarily on education programs that relate specifically to unique medical problems. The medical center continues to support health training through affiliations with 20 universities, colleges, technical colleges, and seminaries.

TYPE OF FACILITY

The facility provides primary medical and mental health services, primary medicine, acute psychiatry, and an array of outpatient specialties including urology, outpatient surgery, audiology, optometry, dental and podiatry.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

The medical center provides a number of special emphasis programs including residential substance abuse, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychiatric residential rehabilitive treatment program (PRRTP), dual diagnosis, outpatient programming for seriously mentally ill, vocational rehabilitation, extended care, adult day health care, rehabilitation, and ventilator care.
