South Central VA Health Care Network, also known as VISN 16, serves a veteran population of 1.8 million in an eight-state region that includes Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. More than 16,500 people work in VISN 16, which is comprised of ten medical centers, 40 community-based outpatient clinics, six nursing homes, and two domiciliaries.
