Oklahoma's VA Regional Office is located in Muskogee, Oklahoma, with a satellite office in Oklahoma City, out-based representatives in Tulsa, Lawton, and Ada, and Education Liaison Representatives in fourteen western regional states. As one of the Veterans Benefits Administration's largest organizations, the Muskogee Regional Office is unique in that it provides services to three different jurisdictions. In addition to administering a full range of compensation, pension, and vocational rehabilitation benefits for the state of Oklahoma, the Muskogee Regional Office is also home of the largest of the four Regional Processing Offices, which process Montgomery GI Bill Education benefits, and home to the nationwide VA Direct Deposit Program.

The Muskogee office alone processes education benefits for fourteen states and the Philippines, administering education benefits to over 35 percent of the nations veterans. Together these programs provide over $1 billion annually to veterans and their families, based on entitlements earned through military service.

For information on Education benefits please call 1-888-GI-Bill (1-888-442-4551). For information on Direct Deposit please call 1-877-838-2778. For all other VA benefits please call 1-800-827-1000.

In 2006, our station's Accounting and Finance section received the prestigious Leo C. Wurschmidt, Jr., Customer Service Team Award for outstanding customer service. In addition, Muskogee received VBA's highest award for quality in 1994—the Robert W. Carey Quality Award and in 1996 the President's Quality Achievement Award. Our office also received VA's Under Secretary for Benefits Outstanding Achievement Award for Exceptional Performance and Service in 1996, and the Public Service Excellence Award Special Recognition Certificate from the Public Employees Roundtable in 1997. Our National Direct Deposit Program won the Vanguard Award in 1998, the Hammer Award in 1999, and the Scissors Award in 1999. Our Veterans Service Center's Dream Team received VBA's National Customer Service Award in 2000, and former director, William Fillman, was recognized in 2001 with the prestigious Presidential Rank Award under the category of Meritorious Executive Award Winner.
