The VA Montana Healthcare System provides a VA presence in every major city in the state of Montana. 

The main campus is located at Fort Harrison. The facility is a 50 bed general medical and surgical facility which offers a broad range of acute, chronic and specialized inpatient and outpatient services. Patient care services are provided for both male and female veterans in the areas of medicine (including cardiac cath, medical oncology, psychiatry, rheumatology, physical therapy, dermatology, neurology,  cardiology), surgery (including ophthalmology, podiatry, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, angiography, gastroenterology, chiropractic, laparoscopic procedures, lithotripsy and same day surgery), mental health (including substance abuse treatment), palliative care including medical and interventional pain management, and primary/urgent care. Full-time Pathology Service is available. Radiology Service provides helical CT, ultrasound, vascular doppler, nuclear medicine and access to portable MRI and scan services. The Medical Center is co-located with the VBA Regional Office. Fort Harrison is located on 138 acres in a picturesque setting on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. The facility campus adjoins the city limits of Helena, the capital of Montana. The Nursing Home Care Unit (NHCU) located on the Miles City campus provides 30 skilled nursing beds for Montana's veterans.
