VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) consists of two health care facilities in Buffalo and Batavia.
The Batavia facility is situated on 48.8 acres in Genesee County's largest city. Constructed in 1933, it provides Geriatric and Rehabilitation Medicine Services, a residential care post-traumatic stress disorder unit, and outpatient services in a renovated primary care clinic. In 1995, the New York State Veterans Home relocated to the Batavia grounds making extended care available.
