The Sheridan VAMC is a 205-bed medical center, with 54 well maintained buildings on a 296-acre campus. Our primary catchment area extends to veterans from Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, and portions of Idaho and we serve as the psychiatry tertiary referral site for VISN 19. The bed complement includes 50 psychiatric, 23 medical, 50 extended care, 40 mental health residential beds, and a 45 Domiciliary Residential Treatment Program for Homeless Veterans. There are approximately 100,000 annual outpatient visits in ambulatory care. Sheridan has been fortunate in attracting a nucleus of excellent board-certified physicians complemented by a variety of community specialty consultants. This medical center has 5 Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Casper, Riverton, Powell, Gillette, and Rock Springs, Wyoming and one Outreach Clinic in Afton, Wyoming.
